what more is Saigeon supposed to do to why draft the guy if we aren't even gonna offer the contract

I think the Avs are close to that 50 contract maximum.

Theres no spot to play him in the AHL right now so why sign him to burn a contract spot.

No rush really, he will play junior, finish his career, then sign his ELC to go to finish the season with the Eagles when it doesnt count forwards the limit
